About Me

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Weber State University and am currently working toward a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management at the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business. At MarketStar I work as a Help Desk Technician II, though in practice I operate at a senior systems administrator level. I manage over 1,700 endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android using Microsoft Intune, support global teams across NAMER, EMEA, and APAC, and contribute to SOC 2 compliance work. Long term I want to move into cybersecurity, specifically penetration testing or security operations.

Help Desk Technician II at MarketStar

Jun 2025 – Present

I serve as the informal senior tech and primary escalation point for the help desk team. I manage over 1,700 endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android using Microsoft Intune, covering device enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment. I run security investigations in Microsoft Defender and Purview and support SOC 2 compliance by implementing and documenting security group changes for audit purposes. I also administer FreshService, where I have built over 30 automations, and provide support for global teams across NAMER, EMEA, and APAC.

Data Analytics Intern at MarketStar

Jan 2025 – Apr 2025

I designed and implemented a technology dashboard using Power BI for internal business use. This involved integrating data from FreshService, Intune, and a hardware lease list. I set up data APIs, used SQL to transform and prepare data, and applied Power Query and DAX to shape and analyze the data for visualization.

Help Desk Technician I at MarketStar

Jun 2023 – May 2025

I provided global technical support by phone, email, and chat for users on Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. I managed accounts in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, handled device imaging and deployment, and did systems administration work in Active Directory. I also ran a set of sales tools including Gong, Outreach, Salesforce, NeverBounce, and Apollo, and was brought on as the technical admin for the FreshService ticketing system, covering API maintenance, workflow automations, and user permissions. I picked up hands on Microsoft Intune experience here as well and started supporting MDM across iOS and Android.

I worked as a Tier 2 Tech Support Specialist, handling escalated issues around account access, system errors, and the Pathway portal. I supported students and staff across BYU-Pathway, BYU-Idaho, and BYU-Hawaii, and helped build internal automation projects to cut down on manual work.

Service Missionary at FamilySearch

Oct 2021 – Jun 2023

I handled technical support and maintenance for over 100 computers and digitizing stations at the Layton FamilySearch Center. I trained incoming missionaries on equipment and taught guest classes on how to use the FamilySearch platform.

On the tech side I worked in Global Services, International Computer Services, and the Service Mission Office Tech Team, handling computer imaging and deployment and providing support across Windows, macOS, Android, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.

I worked as a back-end development intern, writing mostly C++ and SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server. Later I moved into some front-end work and picked up JavaScript and HTML.

Projects

My projects span Power BI dashboards pulling from multiple enterprise data sources, PowerShell and Bash automation scripts for system management, and full stack apps built in .NET (C#) and Flutter (Dart). GitHub repo coming soon.
